About the St Francis Group

The St Francis Group was founded in 1991 by John Hodgkin (BVM&S MRCVS), who was then a practising veterinary surgeon, with the aim of using the joint purchasing volume of individual practices to improve manufacturer discounts.

Our approach has always been to offer unobtrusive support, providing members with valuable information and excellent terms across a wide range of suppliers, giving practices the freedom to use the products and services they favour.

Using our own bespoke IT system, we also support members with monthly reports and information to help them maximise purchasing benefits and reduce administration.

Over the years we have steadily grown our member base and portfolio of offers and services whilst retaining our guiding principle of supporting independent veterinary practices.

Since April 2010, John has been joined by Alan White and Nick Park (BVetMed MRCVS), a practising Veterinary Surgeon based in Northamptonshire. The combined experience of John, Alan and Nick and our longstanding relationships with manufacturers and suppliers ensure that St Francis Group members continue to enjoy the savings and supportive service that have been our focus since 1991.
